Youth killed for loving a girl, six held

Police have arrested six persons for allegedly abducting and killing Javvadi Suresh (21) for having a love affair with a girl related to him in Vanapamula village. The girl’s father, Mendem Elia, along with his sons, allegedly committed the crime and dumped the body on the railway track at Vatluru village in West Godavari district, to create a scene of train accident.

Police arrested M. Ravi Kiran, an ITI student, M. Venkata Narayana, M. Babu Rao, M. Venkateswara Rao and car driver M. Abraham. Elia is a retired CRPF head constable.

The body was mutilated beyond recognition and the Eluru Government Railway Police (GRP) registered a case of suspicious death.
