Yanamala sees hidden agenda in Jagan’s visit

April 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:53 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Tuesday alleged that YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a five-point hidden agenda, including withdrawal of cases against him and release of the confiscated properties.

Andhra Pradesh should not get developed, gain political mileage by striking fear among Delta farmers, Rayalaseema should be dry perennially and factionalism should thrive and State should not get funds were the other four issues on which the delegation led by Mr. Jagan went to Delhi, Mr.Ramakrishnudu said here in a statement.

What is the meaning behind Mr. Jagan’s team meeting Mr. Modi within two days of the attachment of Indu and Ramky properties?, he asked. He charged the Leader of Opposition with never bothering about people’s interests but only self-interest.

He said while Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was working 18 hours a day to develop the State, attempts of Mr. Jagan to obstruct at every step was condemnable.

The Finance Minister said the State government should confiscate Rs.2,000 crore worth of properties of Mr. Jagan that were attached so far. Mr. Ramakrishnudu said Mr. Jagan’s anxiety was not about Polavaram and Pattiseema projects but his cases.

Another senior TDP leader, S. Chandramohan Reddy also lashed out at Mr. Jagan and said it was shameful that he had stated in the meeting with Prime Minister that AP would not be able to stake claim to 70 tmcft of water because of Pattiseema project. Accusing him of attempting to stop Pattiseema project, he said Godavari waters were not being used through Pattiseema.
