Workshop on angioplasty

Noted interventional cardiologist and Director of the Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune, M.S. Hiremath, conducted a workshop on complex percutaneous coronary intervention (angioplasty) at the Andhra group of Hospitals’ Heart and Brain Institute here. Dr. Hiremath, along with Andhra Hospitals Chief Interventional Cardiologist J. Sreemannanarayana, explained about treating calcified lesions with rotablation, complications in long lesions, tandem lesions, chronic total occlusion, multi-vessel disease, bifurcation disease and left main disease and intervention in them. Andhra group of Hospitals Managing Director P. Ramana Murthy said the group was striving to bring such stalwarts to Vijayawada for conducting workshops and also to provide the best treatment to people in the area. Heart and Brain Institute cardiology team members R Dileep, Tulasiram and Ramesh also made presentations.
