Women entrepreneurs can play a key role in promotion of an egalitarian society by reducing income disparities, Karnataka Chief Secretary K. Ratna Prabha has said.

Participating as chief guest at the valedictory of the three-day international conference of women entrepreneurs, organised by the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP), here on Friday, Ms. Ratna Prabha said women were ably handling the family system, which plays a key role in society. Women, who were capable, devoted and disciplined, could make a mark in any field.

She called for collective efforts to develop entrepreneurial capabilities. The lectures given by experts during the conference would contribute to the growth of women as entrepreneurs. Hailing the decision to establish a Women Entrepreneur International Trade and Technology Hub (WITH) in Visakhapatnam, she called upon the association leaders to ensure timely completion of the project, besides its proper functioning, as, it being the first-of-its-kind in the world, its progress would be watched keenly.
