Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said the fight against the Centre to realise all the promises mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Bill would be continued till they were met.
After darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara, Mr. Naidu told media the protest would be carried out in the Japanese model that is without hampering the developmental activities.
Resorting to protests without focussing on the development would push the State into jeopardy. And focussing on development alone ignoring the injustice being meted out would also have a retrogressive effect. Hence the need to handle both simultaneously.

Striking a sentimental chord, he said he was very much pained on the day the State was bifurcated. Recalling that the State had thrice undergone turbulent times since Independence — first when Potti Sriramulu sacrificed his life for a separate State followed by the inclusion of the Hyderabad province (as part of unification of all the Telugu speaking people) and lastly when the State was mercilessly divided in 2014 and was left with huge debts — he said the people of the State were now again forced to fight for the implementation of the AP Reorganisation Act.
‘No proper response’
“Despite all our best efforts we could not secure proper response from the Centre and hence with no other option left have tabled the no-confidence. I have great confidence in Lord Sri Venkateswara and this is what I have prayed to him. I strongly believe that all my prayers in the interest of the State will be addressed,” Mr. Naidu said.
