‘Use tech to track criminals’

Kadapa SP Navin Gulati felicitating outgoing Pulivendula DSP Harinath Babu at the district-level crime meeting in Kadapa on Tuesday.

Police personnel in Kadapa district will be imparted training on use of sophisticated technology to identify criminals and bring them to book, Kadapa Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati said on Tuesday.

Presiding over the district-level crime review meeting at the District Police Office here, Dr. Gulati directed officers to expeditiously dispose of pending cases. He also gave tips to officers on detecting leads to identify criminals using sophisticated electronic gadgets.

He also introduced the new Pulivendula Assistant Superintendent of Police, Anbu Rajan, and new Proddatur DSP Neelam Poojitha, to officers on the occasion. Dr. Gulati felicitated outgoing Pulivendula DSP Harinath Babu and Proddatur DSP Srinivasulu Reddy, who were transferred.
