Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has taken objection to YSR Congress Party president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s allegation that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu conspired to kill him. It was not proper on the part of the Leader of the Opposition to make wild charges against the DGP and the Chief Minister though the investigation was going on in the right direction, he said.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the Minister sought to know why the Opposition leader was silent for so many days though he was attacked at Visakhapatnam airport on October 25. Mr. Reddy did not cooperate with the police after the incident but was demanding a third party inquiry.

In fact, he did not cooperate with the police who tried to question him. Mr. Reddy should hand over the blood-stained shirt to the police, he said.

Making unsavoury comments against the Opposition leader, the Minister suggested him to consult a doctor. Mr. Reddy should behave in a responsible manner, and watch his words before commenting against the police and the Chief Minister, he said.

Mr. Reddy was enacting a new drama every year to cover up his corrupt cases, the Minister said.
