Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has charged YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy with indulging in “collusion politics” with the BJP at the Centre to save himself from various corruption cases pending against him.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, Mr. Rao said the YSRCP leader was betraying the people of the State by working secretly with the BJP, which was not fulfilling the promised made.
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who had made his MPs resign, was now trying to fool the people by calling upon his party activists to protest against the Prime Minister’s response to the no-confidence motion.

‘TDP on the right path’
Asserting that the TDP had been treading the right path, Mr. Rao said that after getting whatever it could from the Centre in three years and nine months, the government had to take to the agitation path after the Centre made it clear that it was not going to give Special Category Status (SCS) and other benefits promised in the AP Reorganisation Act.
Showering praise on the TDP MPs for putting up a spirited fight in Parliament, Mr. Rao said Galla Jayadev had taken the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to task, highlighting the various promises they had made while campaigning for elections in the State. Two other MPs – K. Rammohan Naidu and Kesineni Srinivas – made emphatic speeches.

But this was not sufficient for Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who made his MPs resign and sit at home, he said.
