U-14 tennis tourney gets under way

The synthetic tennis courts at the NTR Municipal Stadium buzzed with activity on Saturday, with the All India Tennis Association (AITA) Under-14 years tennis tourney getting under way.

District Registrar K. Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the tourney, organised by KNSR Foundation in association with Guntur District Tennis Association and Silver Smiles Dental Hospitals.

Chairman of KNSR Foundation and sub registrar, Prathipadu K.N.B Babu said that the tourney was being organised in memory of Kuchipudi Nagaratnam and Babu Rao, her in laws.

Foundation secretary K. Sujatha, District Lawn Tennis Association secretary K.S. Chari, NTR Stadium committee vice-president O. Ankaiah, EC members Koti Linga Reddy and Sampath Kumar were present. Nearly 50 boys and girls have registered for the tourney.
