The Tirupati Urban police have arrested two medical students -- Brahmeswara Naidu and Rammohan Reddy -- both studying at Narayana Medical College, Nellore, for indulging in impersonation in the medical stream of Eamcet that conducted here on Friday.

With Brahmeswara Naidu striking a deal with around seven students, Rajamohan Reddy filed three applications with various names and he attended the test in the name of Prabhakar, at SV University College of Engineering.

He is quite strong in physics and hence was roped in to write the physics questions and circulate the answers among the ‘beneficiaries’.

As per the plan, he should have scribbled the answers in the form of a bit and keep it at a pre-determined place in the toilet, to be picked up by the other students. Scenting trouble, he did not write the bits and steered clear of controversy.

Armed with information to this effect from JNTU, Hyderabad, the police inspectors led by Superintendent of Police (Tirupati Urban) S.V. Rajasekhar Babu swooped down on the centre and arrested the duo.

The ‘beneficiary’ students were, however, let off with a warning, as they did not really receive any benefit. The duo was produced before the media in the evening.
