Meritorious certificates given away to 39 senior officers, staff

Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal has said that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) would continue to lay focus on providing a comfortable darshan to the pilgrims visiting the shrine.

Delivering the Independence Day address after receiving the guard of honour at the TTD administrative building here on Thursday, he called upon the employees to rededicate themselves in the service of the devotees.

“It still requires a lot to improve the services, in view of the growing rush,” he said and listed out the development activities conducted by the TTD.

Special Officer (Tirumala) A.V. Dharma Reddy, Joint Executive Officer (Tirupati) P. Basant Kumar and Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Gopinath Jatti gave away meritorious certificates to 39 senior officers and other employees.

Meanwhile, the NCC students of the TTD-run educational institutions presented a display of horse show and allied areas like tent pegging and jumping show. The trained dogs presented a flower bouquet to Mr. Singhal and also participated in group drills, scanning of drugs and explosives, adventure and silent drills.

Fervour in queue complex

Tirumala Special Correspondent adds: A jubilant mood was all pervasive as devotees entered the Vaikuntam queue complex sporting the tricolour on their shirts and jerseys.

Shedding their language barriers, they greeted each other with slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. Further boosting the spirit of devotees, the TTD staff also reciprocated in a similar way.

TTD Special Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy hoisted the national flag at the Gokulam camp office.
