April 08, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - KURNOOL:

After a gap of nearly 25 years, flights will be operated from Kadapa to Hyderabad from Ugadi on April 8.

Vayudoot had operated flights from Kadapa to Hyderabad in the 1980s, but Kadapa aerodrome was neglected in due course and subsequently merely became a refuelling point for helicopters of Chief Ministers and other VIPs.

Trujet, a regional air carrier promoted by Turbo Megha Airways Pvt. Ltd., with headquarters in Hyderabad, on Thursday announced it will operate flights from Kadapa airport to Hyderabad from April 8.
