TRS is B-Team of Congress: Javadekar

April 30, 2014 01:25 am | Updated May 21, 2016 01:49 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday termed TRS the “B-team” of Congress and accused its president K. Chandrasekhar Rao of uttering falsehoods against BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in a bid to defame him.

At a press conference here, he refuted the charge of Mr. Rao that Mr. Modi would like to turn Hyderabad into a Union Territory and charged him with propagating falsehoods. He said all parties were in jitters due to the growing support to Mr. Modi and that the “TRS has lost balance in the process.”

Criticising the TRS president for “stooping to abusive politics by calling Mr. Modi names, he said that every abuse hurled by him would result in a loss of five to 10 seats to TRS. It showed Mr. Rao’s desperation,” he said. The BJP leader said that he was surprised that Mr. Rao did not say a single word against Congress during his meetings in Nizamabad. Mr. Javadekar also condemned the “anti-Andhra” remarks and added “we are not India-Pakistan.”

If one were pro-Telangana, it did not mean that the person will have to be anti-Andhra. Comments like water would not be given to Andhra and that Andhra people would chased away would not be tolerated, he warned.
