Tribal students get training centre with all amenities

Despite their entitlement under the rule of reservation, many tribal students are unable to get jobs in civil services, Group-I and other premier exams with lack of training facilities all these years. Many of them can not afford expenses in towns where they have to stay for many months to get coaching. For instance, many tribal students could not prepare well for recently concluded DSC examination.

The government which observed their difficulty has begun construction of four training centres in Srikakulam, Patapatnam, Sithampet and Mandasa. The government spent around Rs.15.2 crore for the construction of training centres with the state-of-the-art technology. The ITDA officials said that the government had taken utmost care in designing the training centres with all the amenities. They said that the students would get good opportunity to prepare well for all competitive exams in a hassle-free manner.

Srikakulam In-charge Minister Paritala Sunita and Labour Minister K. Atchannaidu who formally inaugurated the building on Sunday said that the Srikakulam Training Centre would be used as a sports school too. They said the government sanctioned Rs.45 crore for the sports school but it would take time for the construction of permanent buildings. They directed District Collector P. Lakshmi Narasimham and other officials to provide more facilities in the training centres.
