Empowering the tribal youth is possible only by imparting continuous training in the newly-constructed Youth Training Centers (YTC) across East Godavari District, said former MLAs Seethamsetti Venkateswara Rao, Chinnam Babu Ramesh and Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Project Officer K.V.N. Chakradhara Babu.
Inaugurating two different training camps, one by the BEST and another one by Don Bosco, on Friday at Maredumilly YTC, the ITDA Project Officer said that they had taken up tribal empowerment programme under Bhavitha, Vikasa and other schemes in the Agency areas and in accordance with the State Government’s norms and directions selected non-government organizations to impart hands-on training to tribal youth.
He said that this year the ITDA would take up coaching for EAMCET and hopes to see at least five students get seats in the MBBS and one each in IIT and NIT. He also added that they would take up horticulture in a big way by growing cashew in 10,000 acres, millets in 3,000 acres.

Mr. Chakradhara Babu said that there were five important components like five fingers of a hand - best education, health, government or private employment, self-employment, and entrepreneurship - for tribal youth for which the State Government was striving hard through the ITDA.
