Police officials told to set up outposts at vantage points

Judicial complex at Nelapadu in Guntur district will be inaugurated on February 3.

Principal Secretary (General Administration) N. Srikant has instructed the police and fire services officials to make foolproof arrangements for the inauguration of the judicial complex comprising the temporary High Court (HC) and its related offices, at Nelapadu on February 3.

He wanted police outposts be set up at vantage points to prevent any untoward incident.

At a review meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Mr. Srikant said about 5,000 perople including VVIPs, and farmers who have parted with their land for construction of the capital city are expected to attend the event.

High Court Registrar Rambabu, Principal Secretary (Home) A.R. Anuradha, Vijayawada Police Commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and I&PR Commissioner S. Venkateshwar were among those who attended the meeting.

It may be noted that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has invited the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi for the event.
