Three passengers stabbed to death inside bus in Nellore

Three passengers were killed and another seriously injured in an attack by an unidentified co-passenger in a Chennai-bound Bhadrachalam-depot RTC bus at Tada in the SPS Nellore district around 4.30 a.m. on Thursday.

The driver stopped the bus after hearing screams from inside even as the attacker slipped out of the door. Three passengers were found stabbed in their chest. Two of the deceased were identified as Ajay Biswas (25) hailing from Orissa and Niranjan (30) from Ongole.

The driver immediately rushed to the Gummidipoondi hospital where the case was referred to the Sullurpeta Government hospital.

Gudur Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Kumar said that the fourth passenger sustained injuries above the chest. No signs of robbery were found. A CLUES team has rushed to the spot and investigation is on.
