Three Maoists surrender

Three Maoists, including a couple, surrendered before Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath here on Sunday evening. The surrendered Maoists include T Lokanadham alias Lokesh (52), CPI (Maoist) area committee member, a native of Kothagudem, his wife G Samrajyam alias Seetha (48), area committee member, belonging to Kothapeta in Bayyaram mandal, and Mora Ravi (35), member of Narasampet-Kothagudem squad.

According to the SP, Lokanadham, an ITI (Printing Technology) diploma holder, worked for the outfit’s magazine “Kranthi” from Chennai in the 90s. He was deputy commander of Bayyaram dalam for some time before moving to the Bastar region. He was closely associated with the printing and circulation of the outfit’s magazine “Pithuri” along with his wife Samrajyam in south Bastar area in the past.

Samrajyam was allegedly involved in five offences, including a murder case. Mora Ravi, a native of Mangalagudem of Khammam rural mandal, joined the outfit one year ago. He was allegedly involved in the killing of Venkat Reddy, Congress leader of Reddygudem in Palvancha mandal, last year.
