Three persons were killed and another sustained injuries when two speeding motorcycles collided between Alarudinne and Varimukkala villages in Devanakonda mandal on Monday night.
Sriramulu, 40 and Ramalingadu, 38 from Velamakuru village, were returning on a motorcycle after taking part in the funeral of their relative’s daughter, while Boya Giddaiah, 35, from Chinnahulthi in Pathikonda mandal was on his way home after calling on his ailing relative in Kurnool.
They died on the spot. Giddaiah Swamy of Pushpaladoddi in Aspari mandal was severely injured and was rushed to Kurnool general hospital. Police have registered a case.
