Police arrested three persons involved in felling of red sanders tress , besides supplying axes to wood-cutters, Kadapa DSP E.G. Ashok Kumar said here on Saturday.

RIMS CI N. Narayana, SI Obanna and staff seized 14 logs worth Rs. 5.8 lakh from them.

Police and forest officials arrested a driver Derangula Gandi Anjaneyulu, 26, and Ramoji Mariya Dasu, 50, during checking vehicles near RIMS hospital forest check-post on the Kadapa-Pulivendula road and seized eight red sanders logs, an auto rickshaw, four bags of provisions and 40 axes on Saturday.
