Ten hurt in group clash

: Ten persons sustained injuries in a clash between two groups following an altercation on cutting the leaves of a coconut tree on the Sri Sunkulamma temple premises in Nagapuram village in Adoni mandal n Tuesday.

A person of K. Basapuram village cut some leaves of a coconut tree on the temple premises for decorating his house for a family function, according to the police. Muniswamy, a villager of Nagapuram entered into an altercation with Chennabasappa of the village accusing him of permitting cutting of the leaves, police added.

The altercation turned into a group clash and they clashed with sticks and stones, causing injuries to 10 persons. Police registered a case and shifted the injured to the government hospital.
