Assigned with a series of tasks based on their respective skill sets, hordes of workers get on with various developmental activities on the stretch leading from the 200-feet bypass road to Upparpalle circle and other important areas of the city. In the dust and rubble, one can notice discerning changes such as installation of interlocking pavers (pavements /footpaths), walls adorned with mythological murals, profusion of greenery, flawless roads and much more.
These beautification works, envisaged by the Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) and the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA), is all set to transform the appearance of the temple city. “Our first focus is on developing the approach roads leading to Tirupati so as to create a divine connect with the place and also improving the aesthetics. The mythological murals will complement the process, besides catalysing our efforts in making the city poster free,” remarked MCT Commissioner V. Vinay Chand while speaking to The Hindu.
The officials have identified several routes such as Tirupati-Karakambadi road, 200 feet bypass road-M.R. Palle Police Station, Cherlopalli - M.R.Palle circle via Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV), Padmavathi Girls High School road, Prakasam road leading to RTC Bus Stand, Railway Over Bridge etc.

In additional to mythological murals, officials are also planning to put forth/display messages on the government schemes, importance of maintaining cleanliness and green cover, need for constructing toilets in the rural areas and much more.
Besides this, officials are also focusing on developing recreational parks aimed at providing a pleasant atmosphere for retired employees, women and children at Kesavayanigunta (Babu Jagjivan Ram Park), Raghavendra Nagar, Bairagipatteda, S.T.V. Nagar, New Indira Nagar and Lakshmipuram.

The recreational parks will not only have beautiful landscaped gardens but also have walking tracks and colourful water fountains. sThe officials are also undertaking construction of cement/tar roads, cement drainages and culverts on Gandhi Road, Tilak Road, Nimmakayala Veedhi, Lakshmipuram, Subhash Nagar areas of Tirupati.
