BJP senior leader L.K. Advani on Wednesday said the promise to create a separate Telangana state will be included in the manifesto of the party in the next Lok Sabha poll and all efforts taken to fulfil the promise as soon as possible. Mr. Advani, who was addressing the fast undertook by Andhra Pradesh BJP president G. Kishan Reddy and his supporters for the third day here at Jantar Mantar, said the NDA regime which created Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand as part of fulfilling its poll promise would have created Telangana too if it had been included in the manifesto in the 1999 election.

He asked the gathering to elect a party which included Telangana in its election manifesto and stop believing in Congress’ “false promises”.

Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj, said Telangana would be created within three months if the BJP captured power in the next election.
