Some leave test midway; to face action

Network problem disrupted the first paper of the Group-II Services main exam, which started on Saturday, at two centres in the State.

After the commencement of the exam, there was a network problem at the exam centre in Gitam University in Visakhapatnam. The invigilators asked the candidates to wait in their respective seats till the problem was rectified.

They said since it was a computer-based exam, the test would be resumed from the point where it had stopped due to a technical glitch and full time would be given to the candidates.

But some of the candidates went out of the examination hall against the rules of the test.

Secretary Y.V.S.T. Sai, in a statement, said requests made by the liaison officers and district administration and observers at the venue were also not heeded by the candidates.

He said after obtaining reports from the authorities concerned, the matter would be examined by the Commission and appropriate decision would be taken.
