TDP Ministers decry Congress action

May 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:52 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Taking exception to charges of Congress leaders that the Telugu Desam party failed to implement its elections manifesto, TDP Ministers hit back at them for their ‘audacity’ to target Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who was striving to develop the State that was destroyed by the Congress.

Addressing a media conference here on Tuesday, Mr. Raghunatha Reddy said it was the Congress that not only divided the united Andhra Pradesh in an irrational manner but failed to ensure special category status to do justice to people of the State. Enraged with the great injustice done to them, people had taught the Congress a fitting lesson by rejecting their candidates outright in the elections.

“The chapter of Congress is closed and hence out of frustration they are indulging in meaningless criticism,” he said.

Referring to Congress petition to derecognise the TDP for failing to implement election promises, Mr. Reddy said it was ridiculous.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister N. China Rajappa in a statement said the Congress leaders were unable to digest the work being done by the Chief Minister for development of the State despite all odds and people had seen through their hollow criticism.
