‘TDP government has failed on all fronts’

Dharmana Prasada Rao

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has no right to seek votes from the people of Srikakulam as he failed to complete the Vamsadhara phase II project and ensure establishment of any national institution in the last four and half years, according to former Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao.

Speaking a programme organised by the YSRCP here on Saturday, Mr. Prasada Rao said the real development of Srikakulam was possible only when the party was voted to power in the State.

Srikakulam district remained backward due to lack of commitment among TDP MLAs and leaders, the former Minister observed. “The then Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy government had sanctioned huge amount and completed almost 75 % works of the Vamsadhara phase II, but the TDP government failed to take up the remaining works. It is a major failure of the Chandrababu Naidu government,” he said. “The TDP government promised ring road for Srikakulam and a new stadium. But they failed to see the light. Against this backdrop, we appeal to the people to defeat the TDP in the April 11 elections,” Mr. Prasada Rao said.
