: Within a few days after the two parties reached an agreement on seat-sharing in Seemandhra region, the TDP and the BJP appeared to have embarked upon fine-tuning the list of constituencies where they would field their candidates.
Accordingly, the BJP is likely to contest in four Lok Sabha constituencies instead of five as agreed earlier and the Assembly constituencies allotted to the saffron party are also set to undergo some changes. In the negotiations that took place between the leaders of the two parties, the TDP has decided to field its nominee from Araku Lok Sabha, a seat that was earlier given to the BJP as part of the agreement.
The TDP has agreed to allot Ichapuram seat to the BJP, instead of Gajapatinagaram and the saffron party will field its nominee from Guntakal instead of Anantapur Urban. The two parties, according to sources, have come to an understanding on the Vijayawada Central seat too that was given to the BJP. The TDP has agreed to give the BJP a constituency of its choice in place of Vijayawada Central segment.
