‘Sunrise State’ to be the theme

otwithstanding the National Green Tribunal’s order over environmental clearances on the construction of capital city of Amaravati, preparations for the big event are in full swing at Uddandrayunipalem village, the venue for the foundation stone laying ceremony.

On Sunday, the construction works for the main stage began with workers mounting huge poles on the ground. “The main theme of the event is ‘Sunrise State,’ and the main stage would have a huge digital screen with the theme of rising sun, the brand name being promoted by AP government,’’ said the representatives of the Mumbai-based Wizcraft Event Managersthat has been entrusted with the planning and execution of main stage for the programme.

The main stage overlooking the Krishna river is being carefully readied in conformity with the Vaastu principle. Event organisers have been told to ensure that the stage faces the North Eastern direction and faces the Krishna river.

Back in Guntur, Joint Collector Ch. Sridhar convened a meeting of various departmental heads. “A detailed action plan for the mega event has been prepared and all the preparatory works will be completed by October 16,” he said after making a power point presentation in the forum.

Meanwhile, the police have secured the venue spreading across 200 acres. Additional Director General of Police N.V Surendra Babu, Inspector General of Police (Guntur) N. Sanjay and Superintendent of Police (Guntur Urban) Sarva Srestha Tripathi inspected the venue and reviewed the arrangements.

Hyderabad-based KMK Event Management Limited which is also involved in the preparations also commenced the construction of galleries at the venue.
