TRS leader Kadiam Srihari on Wednesday warned APNGOs leader Ashok Babu and others to restrain themselves from making provocative statements belittling Telangana people and the movement.
The Telangana people had revolted against the Nizam rule and chased him away. Cutting across the gender and age, people fought valiantly to free them from the Nizam’s rule, he said, adding that unnecessary provocations only lead to unrest and the leaders must stop making such comments. “The silence of the Telangana people should not be construed as weakness by the Seemandhra leaders. The public meeting in Hyderabad would show the strength of the Telangana people and the movement,” he said.
Mr. Srihari further demanded that the Sate government take suo moto action against the remarks of Ashok Babu and book a case against him. TRS leaders T. Ravinder Rao, P. Sudarshan Reddy, N. Sudhakar Rao and others also condemned the remarks.

Mr. Srihari cautioned the Telangana people, saying that the Seemandhra leaders were hatching conspiracies to stall the State bifurcation process. “The release of Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy may embolden the Seemandhra leaders. Hence, we should be careful and make our proposed public meeting in Hyderabad a grand success,” he said.
Chandrababu flayed
The TRS leaders also wanted the Telangana TDP leaders to come out and support the separate Telangana movement. “N. Chandrababu Naidu’s association will bury them (Telangana TDP leaders) politically. The TDP leaders from the region should stop hoodwinking people and raise their voice against Mr. Naidu, who is adopting double standards for political mileage,” Srihari said.
