Sri City gears up to host blindfold chess event today

The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT - Sri City) campus is geared up to host the blindfold chess game on Saturday, said to be the first such event in the history of Indian universities.

International master Nisha Mohota and woman grandmaster Padmini Rout will play a game with their eyes blindfolded, which can be watched as live stream across the globe at www.iiits.ac.in from 4.15 p.m. International grandmaster V.Saravanan gives the running commentary. Kumar Ramachandran, governing board member of IIIT, Chittoor will introduce the players.
