Spell out plans, CPI (M) tells AP govt

Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) has urged the State government convene an all party meeting to discuss the programmes to be taken up in Capital city.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, CPI (M) city secretary Ch. Babu Rao disclosed the resolutions adopted at CPI(M) city 20th general body meeting that concluded on Sunday. The party wanted the government to spell out its plans to create employment and promote industry in the new capital. The government’s plans and policies should boost industrial development in and around the Capital, he said. 

Mr. Babu Rao said that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have miserably failed to fulfill its electoral promises. The CPI(M) would take up agitations to mount pressure on the government to implement the electoral promises, he said. 

CPI(M) general body reelected Mr. Babu Rao as city secretary. A 18-member city committee was elected at the meeting. D. Kasinath, Muzzaffer Ahmed, K. Sridevi, D.Vishnuvardhan, U V Ramaraju, Madala venkateswara Rao, Nagoti Prasad were elected to city secretariat. T. Subba Reddy, Ajay, Sudhakar, B.Satyababu, B. Ramana Rao, B. Nageswara Rao, K. Saroja, V. Gurumurthy, P. Sambi Reddy and G.Nataraj were elected as committee members.
