Special buses ferry Eamcet candidates

Alternative arrangements for transporting candidates appearing for the Eamcet in the city to exam centres on Friday, received a boost with police extending their support to the operations.

From the morning, Tirupati Urban Police under the supervision of SP Gopinath Jatti reached all major transit points to ferry the candidates. Conveying the message through flexi banners and announcements, police helped aspirants find buses and subsequently to their centres.

DSP (Traffic) J. Venkata Narayana said they would continue the services till evening, including transporting candidates back to the transit points, after the exam.

“We are operating six buses from Tirupati railway station and Central Bus Stand, to all exam centres in the city,” he added.
