Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has urged the Speaker to constitute an Ethics Committee to put a stop to unbecoming behaviour of the MLAs in the Assembly.
Making a suggestion after the YSR Congress left the House after suspension of eight members from the Assembly on Thursday, Mr. Ramakrishnudu said that rules should be framed and the legislators should be penalised for violating the rules and damaging furniture.
Opposition members were consistently stalling proceedings of the House on some pretext or other and it was not proper, he said.

Mr. Ramakrishnudu further said that the Opposition members were using obscene language, resort to provocative behaviour, and heaping insults on the Speaker to disturb the House. The Speaker, irrespective of party affiliations, should consider such behaviour as ‘contempt of the House’ and initiate action.
Earlier, Ministers K.E. Krishnamurthy, Palle Raghunath Reddy and Whip Kalwa Srinivasulu condemned the ‘despicable’ behaviour of the YSRC leaders .
Alleging that that Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was not fit to be the Leader of Opposition, they said that Mr. Jagan was constantly heckling and making sweeping remarks against the Speaker and Chief Minister as ‘he had no respect for the Legislature and its traditions.’
