The Centre will provide scholarship to train 500 youths by the two Industrial Training Institutes here, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy said on Saturday. ITIs would be strengthened to provide goal-oriented training to the youth to improve their employability and infuse entrepreneurship spirit among them, he said, during an interaction with the faculty and students of the ITIs for boys and girls. He reviewed the training programmes offered by the two ITIs with the Principals Srinivasa Rao and Shantha Kumari and other faculty members . The Centre was keen to fill the huge gap in trained manpower in the country, giving an impetus to the skill development programme, the Minister added.
