Andhra University getting ranked 11th in India in the THE global ranking was a result of efforts of the entire team, including those who have retired, and no single individual can claim credit for it, Prof. Raju said. He thanked all the stakeholders, including the students and the government, for the achievement and declared that the university would work hard to break into global top 50 next year.

Shortage of faculty has been the main reason why Andhra University came so low in the global ranking, he pointed out and requested the HRD Minister to take steps to help the university fill its vacancies at the earliest.
