Seer to conduct Hanuman Chalisa fete on January 5

‘So far, the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ was recited by the devotees for more than 1,008 crore times’

Dattapeetham seer Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji has stated that a mass ‘Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Viswa Santhi Mahayagnam’ would be organised at Padmavati Ghat in the city on January 5, 2019, from 4 p.m.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, the seer said that thousands of devotees would take part in the recitation of the ‘Hanuman Chalisa.’ The first edition of the Mahayagnam was conducted in Tenali in 2015. The event entered into the Guinness Book of World Records. The Mahayagnam was conducted in Visakhapatnam wherein 1.25 lakh devotees took part. The Mahayagnam was conducted in Mysore, Singapore, West Indies, Malaysia and in USA. So far, the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ was recited by the devotees for more than 1,008 crore times, he said.

On January 5, the place would be earmarked to every devotee aspiring to participate in the event.

Apart from drinking water facilities such as water bottle, ‘prasadam’ and ‘Hanumanth raksha’ would also be provided to each devotee participating in the Mahayagnam. About 500 volunteers would assist the devotees participating the Mahayagnam, he said, adding, it is being conducted for global peace.
