Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has accused the Union Ministers from Seemandhra regions of presenting “all lies” in their representation to the Group of Ministers (GoM). The party has demanded publication of a white paper on Seemandhra’s Rs. 50,000 crore investment on the development of Hyderabad. The Seemandhra Ministers had even tried to mislead the GoM on Srikrishna Committee report with regard to Hyderabad, TRS leaders K. Keshava Rao G. Vivek and K.T. Rama Rao said here on Sunday. They also faulted the Congress leaders from Telangana for singing their own praises about the “achievement of statehood” thereby ignoring the Seemandhra leaders’ campaign against the Centre’s decision.
“Let the Seemandhra leaders or the State Government publish a white paper on their Rs. 50,000 crore investment for the development of Hyderabad. They developed themselves and multiplied their assets by making huge profits in realty and other sectors sparing no share to the locals who gave away their lands,” Mr. Rama Rao said.
He pointed out that Hyderabad was the fifth largest city in the country at the time of Independence and it continues to hold on to the status even now and that had not happened with the Seemandhra leaders’ “investments for development of Hyderabad”. “Visakhapatnam was a small town when Andhra was merged with Telangana and it is billed as the fastest growing city in Asia now,” he said adding that it was the benefit the coastal city accrued from the united State.

Secretary general of TRS Mr. Keshava Rao said the fears of Hyderabad being made an undeclared Union Territory were on the rise due to the wavering statements of the Congress leaders in Delhi. “Mr. Digvijay Singh would have known the sufferings of Telangana people had he lived in the region for the last 60 years,” he remarked stating that Telangana people were not ready to share even revenue of Hyderabad let alone law and order and other administration.
He asked the Telangana Congress leaders to build pressure on the Centre against imposing any conditions and restrictions on the status of Hyderabad.
