SAAP Chairman Ankamma Chowdary hailed Mr. Satyanarayana's contribution in developing archery in Andhra Pradesh and urged him to give up the fast for the sake of young archers who were training at the academy.

However, Mr. Satyanarayana said he was insulted by his former trainee. “Both Ms Jyothi Surekha and her father Mr V. Surendra insulted me and my wife and I seek their apology,” he said.

Mr. Satyanarayana, who was discharged from the hospital, continued his hunger strike at Volga Archery Academy and said he would decide the future course of action after discussing with his students.
