Raj Bhavan gets new Principal Secretary

Harpreet Singh, IAS, has taken charge as the Principal Secretary to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan here on Thursday, even as Raj Bhavan bid farewell to Special Chief Secretary Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, who demitted office on superannuation.

Speaking at the farewell function, Mr. Narasimhan said Mr. Kumar had “extended his services without any bias and his sincerity and commitment has brought laurels to Raj Bhavan”. “He is a valuable colleague with admirable and meticulous planning and an outstanding officer. He is an asset to the Government of Andhra Pradesh and he will bring accolades to his new assignment too,” the Governor said. Mr. Ramesh Kumar has been associated with Raj Bhavan for the past seven years. He will now take charge as the State Election Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
