For the second consecutive day on Sunday, the summer rains lashed out at the sacred hill temple of Lord Venkateswara.
Even the though the untimely rains brought in a kind of relief from the scorching Sun, devotees were subjected to difficulties with the incessant drizzling that dominated most of part of the day.
Devotees stood determined in the queue lines braving the cloud burst in their penchant not to miss their turn in the darshan of the deity. On the other hand, the temple town of Tirupati which has registered soaring temperatures during this summer comparatively experienced a heavy downpour.

Several of the arterial roads in the town remained inundated with the overflowing drains.
