People are watching ‘gimmicks’ of T-Congress MPs: Gajjela Kantham

Launching a scathing attack against the Telangana Congress MPs for betraying the people of Telangana region with false promises about the formation of a separate State, Telangana Prajasanghala JAC chairman Gajjela Kantham has demanded that the Congress MPs resign from their posts to prove their sincerity towards the Telangana statehood movement.

Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, Kantham flayed the Congress MPs for claiming to have sacrificed for the cause of Telangana statehood movement.

“If the Congress MPs are committed towards the statehood issue, why are they continuing in the Congress party, which has been betraying the people of the region since 1969. Let them get out of the party and prove their sincerity,” he asked.

Alleging that the Telangana Congress MPs were committed only towards making political statements through press conferences, he ridiculed the MPs for supporting Pranab Mukherjee in the presidential elections without pressurising the party high command on the statehood issue.

He said that the people of the region were watching the “gimmicks” of the Congress MPs and they would definitely teach them a fitting lesson.

‘Chalo Hyderabad’

Stating that the time was ripe to launch the second phase of the revolution for the formation of a separate Telangana State, he said that they had decided to besiege Hyderabad on August 31.
