A painter, K. Mahendra Kumar (29), was allegedly beaten to death by some unknown persons at Yenamalakuduru, under Penamaluru police station limits, on Friday night.
The miscreants entered the house and attacked the victim from behind with lethal weapons when he was alone at home. Sniffer dogs were pressed into service and fingerprints were collected from the scene. “The reason for the killing was not known. The sniffer dog walked up to some distance and stopped near Ramalingeswara Katta. We are probing the case from all angles,” a police official said.
