OUCET results released; counselling likely from June last week

About 51,000 students will compete for nearly 19,000 seats in the post-graduate courses of Osmania University, Palamuru University, Mahabubnagar; Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda and Telangana University, Nizamabad.

The OU Vice-Chancellor, S. Satyanarayana released the results in Hyderabad on Monday. The results are available on the university website >www.osmania.ac.in and will also be displayed at the Office of the Directorate of Admissions, OU.

Prof. Satyanarayana said that counselling is likely to be held from the last week of June and the exact date would be announced within a few days. Out of the 66,508 candidates who appeared 50,913 qualified in the entrance tests held last month. Among these 33,200 are male candidates and 17,713 are female candidates.

The Vice Chancellor said that about 13,027 seats are available under Osmania University, 1,990 under Telangana University, 2,630 under Mahatma Gandhi University and 1,234 seats under Palamuru University. Among these 4,500 odd seats are in the university colleges and the remaining in the affiliated colleges.

The Director of Admissions, Shivraj said that subject wise counselling schedules and detailed instructions for candidates called for counselling will be made available on the OU website and the information can be downloaded by the students.
