One dies of swine flu

A 55-year-old man from Ranga Reddy district has died due to complications from swine flu in a corporate hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday. So far, the total number of deaths due to swine flu in Telangana is at 10, while the number of positive cases since January has reached 217.

The district heath authorities have urged high risk groups - including children, pregnant women, elderly and persons with co-morbid conditions like kidney, liver and heart ailments, diabetes and hypertension - to be cautious. The high risk groups can also opt for vaccination under medical advice.
