Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wants to be hailed as the best administrator in the country, but he was letting down the people of Andhra Pradesh including the most vulnerable sections – the SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities, said former Union Minister J.D. Seelam.
Mr. Seelam and other Congress leaders who are on the Congress party’s ‘Social Justice and Empowerment Bus Yatra’, addressed a public meeting at the Nizam Gate in Wynchpet here on Tuesday.
All the support needed by Andhra Pradesh to develop after bifurcation was provided in the A.P. Reorganisation Act, but Mr. Naidu was not making use of it because he was afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The Chief Ministers of all states have meetings with Parliament Members cutting across all party lines to discuss issues that were related to the respective states and the strategy to secure them. Mr. Naidu, however, did not hold even a single meeting with the MPs till now,” Mr. Seelam said.
He added that the state was not following the SC and ST sub-plans that would benefit the weaker sections. There was no minority minister in the State Cabinet, he pointed out. Congress State SC Cell chairman K. Vinaya Kumar said that Chief Minister was not bothered at all about the the SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities in the State.
The Chief Minister called for a review meeting only after the Congress launched the Bus Yatra. Even the Opposition leader Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy was least concerned about the weaker sections, he opined.

Congress Minority Cell Chairman Ahmed Ali Khan said that the minorities were feeling lonely and lived in fear, but Congress Party united them with the SCs, STs and BCs and the minorities had nothing to fear any more.
Congress party candidate of Vijayawada West Constituency Akula Srinivas Kumar presided. Congress leaders K. Sivaji, Surya Nayak, Malladi Vishnu and Youth Congress leader Devineni Avinash spoke.
