YSR Congress (YSRC) party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday said to become Chief Minister, a politician required the blessings of the God and crores of people and N. Chandrababu Naidu who got that rare opportunity forgot his bounden duty to serve the people.
“His negligence of the welfare of the masses and development is evident from the problems galore which I am coming across during my Praja Sankalpa Yatra,” he said, claiming that the people were showering their love and affection on him through the 200 days of outreach programme he completed today.
Addressing a public meeting at Bheemanapalli in the Amalapuram constituency, Mr. Reddy said he was able to walk long due to the blessings of his father Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy who would always think about the well-being of the common people, unlike Mr. Naidu whose performance was more style than substance.

He said the farmers were in dire straits as the promise of the Central and the State governments to pay them minimum support prices was confined to rhetoric. The much-hyped loan waiver was a farce, he alleged, also accusing the State government of failing in providing affordable health care to the poor.
“People are waiting for ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ to come back. When the opportunity comes, I will serve them to the best of my capacity by following in the footsteps of my father.”
By covering 7.1 km from the outskirts of Amalapuram to Bheemanapalli, he completed 2,441.3 km.
