Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) president Manda Krishna has given a call to Telangana supporters to observe Hyderabad bandh on Saturday, September 7, to protest against the proposed APNGOs meeting at Lal Bahadur Stadium on the day.
The protest programme was planned as the police officials refused permission to MRPS to hold their meeting at LB Stadium in support of Telangana on Friday while allowing the APNGOs to hold their ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ meeting on Saturday, he said here on Thursday.
Speaking to media persons, Mr. Krishna said dharnas would be staged at the district, mandal and village level. He alleged that the real intent of ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ meeting was to stake claim over Hyderabad by sending a message that people in Hyderabad were also in favour of united State. All the Seemandhra leaders -- N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Botcha Satyanarayana, N.Chandrababu Naidu, Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and Chiranjeevi -- were indirectly supporting the meeting, he said.

Meanwhile, Mala Mahanadu State president Karam Sivaji gave a counter call appealing to people to come in lakhs to Hyderabad in support of ‘Save AP’ meeting. Ambedkar philosophy was against casteism and regional chauvinism and said none could prevent Seemandhra SCs and STs from attending the meeting.
The sincere and spontaneous movement in Seemandhra was owned by people and no politician was leading it. The separatist movement ignited by political leaders for their selfish ends of votes and seats was creating friction between Seemandhra and Telangana regions, he regretted.
Mr. Sivaji said they had never opposed people’s movement in Telangana but Manda Krishna was resorting to threats and derogatory remarks against Seemandhra people and their movement.
