At a time when switching loyalty by political leaders has become the order of the day in the wake of elections, TDP Member of Parliament from Narsaraopet, Modugula Venugopal Reddy, is planning to resort to a similar stride, going by the rumours that are doing the rounds.
Mr. Venugopal Reddy has been insisting the party leadership to field him from Narsaraopet Parliament constituency for the last few days. With the TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu yet to take a call on the MP’s request, speculation is rife that the party is not ready to allot a ticket to Mr. Reddy.
Guntur former MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, who was suspended by the Congress, is all set to join the TDP and the party has assured to field him from the Narsaraopet Parliamentary constituency.

Former Minister and Tadikonda MLA Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad is also planning to go the Rayapati way.
He has already announced that he would take a decision on shifting the party soon. However, Mr. Reddy has not left hope. “I tried my level best to obstruct the State bifurcation and strengthened the TDP in Narsaraopet segment. I hope that the party will allot me a ticket for the same constituency,” he said.
But, the TDP has already said that it would field Mr. Rayapati from Narsaraopet and it means there is no chance for the MP.

His followers said Mr. Reddy was planning to contest the polls as a TDP rebel or would come out of the TDP, if the party denies a ticket to him.
