With Prime Minister Narendra Modi being expected to address a public meeting in Vizianagaram in April first week as part of the move to strengthen the BJP in North Andhra region, the party leaders are planning to turn the event into a show of pre-poll strength of the party in the State.

At a preparatory meeting here on Monday, BJP Central Observer Rohit Kapoor and State treasurer Pakalapati Sanyasi Raju said the party would be a formidable force in the State, claiming that people had fed up with the Telugu Desam Party, the YSR Congress and the Jana Sena Party.

“The BJP is developing a network in every nook and corner after the break-up with the TDP. Despite the hate campaign launched by the TDP, people are supporting the BJP and it was evident from the massive success of Prime Minister’s public meeting in Visakhapatnam held recently,” Mr. Sanyasi Raju said and hoped that the VIzianagaram meeting would also be a grand success.

“The BJP has become a very strong force in West Bengal, Kerala and other States. The same will be repeated in Andhra Pradesh too. That is why, there is huge demand for BJP tickets in the State,” he said.
