‘In 3 years, NDA govt. rectified lapses of earlier UPA regime’

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Chemicals and Fertilisers U. Ananth Kumar on Thursday said the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre had delivered development along with corruption-free good governance in the last three years.

Speaking at a meeting of the beneficiaries of the Central government schemes organised by the local BJP unit at Kadiri in the district, Mr. Ananth Kumar said the three-year rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had undone the lapses of the previous UPA government and was proceeding towards making India a stable and fast growing economy.

Stating that the Modi government was all about bringing in positive change, Mr. Ananth Kumar said ‘perform, reform and transform’ was the mantra through which Mr. Modi was attempting to make India a super power. There was no single family in the country that was left untouched by the positive change and development ushered in by the NDA government, he said. He cited the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) as one example of how the government’s good intentions were being ably supported by the people of the country.

Protocol breach

While the Union Minister, who came by road from Bengaluru, left soon after the programme at Kadiri, the absence of any senior official of the district irked the Bharatiya Janata Party district leaders who took objection to the protocol violation and demanded suspension of the Kadiri Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) for dereliction of duty.
